Be Aware

More than anybody else.

To Know Thyself

For that is 

The whole purpose

Of being.

It is not in what you say

But in what you do 

Or not do,

The virtue of courage comes alive

Courage is the breath

Of the precious Soul,

The mystical dance

Of uncertainty.

The pleasure of existence, we arrive

Gratitude

With all that surrounds me

Gratitude fills me for thee 

All that I choose to ignore

Everything I sure must see

Consumed by the viciousness

I immerse myself  in anxiety

For this is All I seem to know

Believing it to be my destiny

If I choose to break the loop

I’ll be filled with joy and glee

Inked with the indelible pride

As I recollect, I am teary eyed

the tear that every Indian cried

gasping for hope, plenty died

for they trusted him, who lied

misery spread out far and wide

rampaged by his tyranny ride

Given the triumphant landslide

Hopes high, possibilities betide

'bad days seemed, few to bide'

watching up too close, cockeyed

they saw him, his true self pied

he planted hate, harvested divide

he plated blood, humanity on side

classes were wooed, margins elide

he went to backstab, all who allied

in the name of motherland, pried

tore apart pockets, basics denied

his own countrymen, he spied

laws imposed but justice denied

questions banned, sedition implied

raise an eyebrow, receive a chide

the jackal adorns the sheep Hyde

when the jungle burns, he'd hide

They hunted him, much they tried

the imposter who's now identified 

with a lot of ruckus, a strong riptide

enough is enough, the nation sighed

the intentions gore, actions too snide

Humpty Dumpty fall, they cried

their collective will they applied

a mighty finger, public astride
